Volunteering and Internships

Volunteering at Wise Women Gathering Place can be life-enriching and FUN experience!  We value the input that our many past interns and volunteers have brought and are always looking for further community involvement!

Volunteering

There are currently two primary volunteer options:

Mother's Helper Volunteers:  Mother's Helper Volunteers assist with watching children during our weekly Wise Women Support Group (Tuesdays, 5:00-7:30) and also during our community classes (Hours may vary).  If you have a love of children, and want to come play with us, call today!  (Volunteers must pass a Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check.)

General Office Volunteers:  Office Volunteers are incredibly valuable to our everyday operation.  Tasks could include creating program materials, designing brochures and flyers, implementing filing systems, and more!

Internships

Wise Women Gathering Place is always pleased to host interns from area high schools and universities.  Our staff credentials include Wisconsin Certified CADC-II Substance Abuse Counselling, Bachelor's of Social Work (BSW), Community Counselling and years of life experience in midwifery and beyond!  

Individuals interested in the helping professions will find myriad shadowing and hands-on experiences with our agency.  Call to inquire at (920) 490-0627.
